Components and guidelines
All components in the motion branding toolbox are designed to express the Atlas Copco Group identity. To guarantee consistency there are easy-to-use templates for all versions of the graphic assets. The template you choose is a creative decision based on what suits each video best.
Use minimal templates (where the teal overlay covers only part of the screen) where the video footage is clean and lighting and color is controlled. To ensure better legibility, use full-frame templates (this is where the teal overlay covers the entire screen), in cases where the video footage is busy.
In general, avoid mixing templates for the same component in the same film or series of films. When picking the background score for a video, pick a genre and tempo that suits the mood appropriate to the viewing experience. Ensure that that the sound works with the content of the video and that it doesn't overpower critical elements (for example, voiceover or speech that must be clear for the viewer). Make sure the license for the chosen track or sound effect covers commercial use.
On this page you will find the following motion graphics components:
- Intro and outro
- Name tags
- Transitions
- Supers
- Subtitles
- Background loop
- YouTube endscreen and social media tags
Intro and outro
Intro and outro
Intro
An intro is optional. The intro can start the video or it can be placed after a short, impactful video sequence. There are three version of Intro that are available. Two full version and one minimal version. In case the background frame is too busy (making the title difficult to read), the full version template comes with the option of turning on a teal overlay. However Minimal version appears on the side of the screen.

Note:
Aim for short headlines. Maximum 20 characters per line.
Outro
All videos must end with an outro as it creates a lasting impact and a showcases a cohesiveness amongst all communication, along with clearly stating the creator of the messaging - Atlas Copco Group. There are three versions of the outro that are available. Two extended version and one minimal version. The extended version has Group message and transition at the beginning of the outro. However, in the minimal version we have the Group logotype without Group message.

Name tags
To introduce a person's name and title, we use name tags. There are two styles to choose from: white text on a teal box and teal text on a white box. The opacity of the box is adjustable and the Group tag can be toggled on/off.

Transition
The defined video transition can be used to move from one scene to another, to represent a shift in the story line, to show the passage of time or to simply move the audience to the next scene in a smoother way. Group transitions come in two patterns: teal and multicolor, and can be used as per the overall video color tonality.

Supers
Supers provide extra information relevant to the video such as headings, transitional messaging, calls to action and text that add context or an extra layer of meaning to the video. The supers in our templates come in two styles: white text on a teal band and teal text on a white band.

Subtitles
To make your content accessible to a larger audience, where audio or playing audio is either not an option or inconvenient, or in case of social media platforms where viewers prefer muting the sound, subtitles can be very useful. Many video players, such as YouTube, have a built-in subtitle option. Therefore, versions with and without pre-rendered subtitles are often needed. The subtitles in our template are centered with text in white within a transparent gray box that can be toggled on/off.
Subtitles appear in white within a transparent gray box; restrict subtitles to 1 or 2 lines only
Background loop
Background loops come into play at intermissions during events when the on-stage screen functions as a background mood. We have designed a sequence that is consistent with the Group identity.

YouTube endscreen and social media tags
YouTube endscreens bring the viewer's attention to a specific call-to-action. This template is recommended for YouTube, where a series of videos relate to each other or where we want viewers to go through specific recommended playlists/videos. It is not mandatory in all videos. The Group social media tags appear on the YouTube screen. Social Media tags do not have to be used on all videos and must only be used for videos where they might help engage or direct the users to our social media platforms.
