Well-crafted content, posted consistently across multiple social media channels, goes a long way to increasing brand reach, awareness and visibility. Making the right impact calls for consistent use of the defined color palette, typography, layouts and graphical elements. You’ll find banners, covers and post designs with the goal of providing variations while retaining key markers of Atlas Copco Group's identity that make the creatives instantly recognizable.
Branding of creatives
Social media posts that incorporate graphics receive more attention than posts with just text. Utilize images or videos whenever possible and ensure that the images crafted for social media posts leave an impact. Follow the rules for images, colors, fonts and motion branding described in dedicated sections of this manual.
Elements of social media posts
- Group logotype: Group logotype is not used in the creatives, but is used in YouTube thumbnail images and motion branding elements (e.g. video outro).
- Icons and illustrations: Illustrations adhere to the defined style and utilize the specified color palette (refer to the extended palette available for illustrations). Icons may be used in icon-centric creatives to highlight facts or anchor a statement. Icons can also be employed in photo-centric creatives.
- Photos and videos: Photos follow the style guidelines outlined in the image section. For guidelines and required footage related to intros, outros, transitions, name tags, etc., please refer to the section on motion graphics.
- Text: Text-based content may appear in both the caption and on the creative. In most creatives with text, it is placed on top of the image if accessibility requirements allow it. Text can be white or teal.
Elements on the page
Banner image
The banner image is the most prominently displayed image on a company's social media page and should encapsulate the Group's personality. Use core images alongside with Group tag and gray lines for banners.
To ensure the cover image is clearly visible on all devices, try to keep the image's focal point in the "green" zone. Most of the image should fall within the "blue" zone (as shown in the image). Ensure that no significant details in the banner fall within the red zone.
Profile logotype
On platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, it's important to ensure the correct Group logotype is used. The logotype is available in two formats (circular and square, depending on the social media channel), which can be downloaded from Templates and Resources.
Use the circular version on platforms, such as Instagram, that display the image in a circular format.
Use the square version on platforms (like LinkedIn) that display the image in a square format.
