There are two typefaces for use:

• Primary typeface
• Typeface on Microsoft 365
   

Noto Sans is Atlas Copco Group's primary typeface. It is available in multiple weights, widths and italic styles. As seen in the English language character set below, the Noto Sans font is neutral, functional and designed to be accessible. Noto Sans is the main font for headlines, subheadings, introductory text, captions and body copy across print, web and social media. Noto Sans is ideal for typographically correct global communication in more than 1000 languages.

When used well, the size and weight of headlines, subheadings, introductory text, body copy and captions can create a pleasing visual hierarchy. Below we have defined three headline levels, two subheading levels, one level for introductory text, two levels for body copy and one for captions. Note the font size range defined for each level which allows for flexibility.

The weight and font sizes defined for each level such as headlines, subheadings, introductory text, body copy, and captions for print, come together to form a visual hierarchy that guides the eye. Below is an example of how the hierarchy can flow well through use of the defined weights and fonts.

Segoe UI will be the typeface for use on all Microsoft 365 applications such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and Excel sheets. When collaborating with large groups or sharing templates, we advise using Segoe UI which is freely available on all systems running Microsoft Windows. Like Noto Sans, this is an easily readable and accessible font.
